“Harmony in Bloom” is a culturally rooted batik design inspired by Singapore’s diverse heritage. The motif system integrates symbolic elements from Malay floral forms, Chinese repeating waves, Indian geometric ornaments, and Peranakan ceramic-inspired borders.
At the center sits the Vanda Miss Joaquim, Singapore’s national flower, representing resilience and unity — visually tying all cultural elements together.
Additional motifs, such as the silhouette of Steel Lattice Trees, symbolize Singapore’s harmony between nature, innovation, and modern architecture.
The result is a unified batik composition that honors each cultural background while reflecting Singapore’s spirit of togetherness and shared identity.
